I&amp;#39;m not close the the query stage right now, and probably won&amp;#39;t be for another year, at which time I expect the situation to be worse than it is now, but I&amp;#39;ll probably query anyway. Everyone does think they have a book in them.&lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;I think the selection process has tightened up and your manuscript must be amazing to get selected. I also want to write an amazing manuscript. So I will either query now or keep working on my craft. Actually I plan on doing both.&lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;As far as I've been able to tell, the children's market has continually tightened over the years as more talented authors have been drawn to write in this genre.
